Labor Day

So for Labor Day we called and invited ourselves (uh-gin) to Scottie's house.  And he welcomed us with open arms...sort of.  JK.  They totally did.  We had a great time hanging out and cheering for Bama's first games of the season.  ROLL TIDE!!!

After we left Atlanta, we headed to Columbus for a little (well, with a family this size we don't do anything little.  I guess the time we were together could be called "little.") family reunion...all the Jones kids were there!!  Except Chris.  :(  And we only talked about him like 4 times. :)

Serendipity

So in planning to get to Alabama for the funeral...we were looking at flights when our friend Scott Lanker was over at our house.  He said, "Well if that's the price of your tickets, I can fly you there for cheaper."  We were like, "What??"  Scott was a pilot in the Air Force, even an instructor!  So long story short...Scott flew us from OCALA, FL to DECATUR, ALABAMA in one day  (11:30 am to 10:00 pm)!!!  It was an amazing experience and such a selfless act of service to us (on a random Tuesday in August).  We saved a lot of time and effort this way.  THANK YOU SCOTT!!

Dan, Daisy and I went to the funeral.

Scott at work.  It was amazing to see our friend
fly a plane like it was no biggie.  Pri-tty cool. :)

Little plane, 2 Dramamine.  Thankfully they worked. :)

We saw the sun set on the way home.  UH-mazing.

Granddaddy Cagle

These pics are of my Granddaddy Cagle, Luther Elvege Cagle.  Better known as L.E. Cagle.  :)
I honestly don't know all the details on these pics.  I will ask my family and come in to edit it.

Now do you see where I get my good looks? :) HA.

This one (above) looks like a movie.

My grandmother (Christine but we called her Grandmo) and granddaddy right after they got married.
Above is Granddaddy, who is holding my Dad, Grandmother,
and my Dad's two sisters Deborah and Donna

Notice how my Grandmo is standing in this pic...I do that all the time. :)

This is how I remember him. (above)
This was his garden in the backyard.

Headed into Beltline Church of Christ.

They enjoyed traveling.
